Thrust ball bearing

Thrust ball bearings consist of an axle ring, a seat ring, balls, and a cage assembly. The ring that mates with the shaft is called the axle ring, and the ring that mates with the housing is called the seat ring. Bearings with a spherical mounting surface on the seat ring exhibit self-aligning properties, which can reduce the impact of installation errors. Thrust ball bearings are designed in two types: one-way bearings and two-way bearings. Both can withstand high axial forces but cannot withstand radial forces.

Thrust ball bearings are ball bearings with a contact angle of 90°, belonging to the separable bearing category. They are composed of separable shaft rings, seat rings, and steel ball cage assemblies, and can be divided into one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings. The thrust ball bearing cage is generally made of stamped steel plates, while large thrust ball bearings use copper solid cages. Thrust ball bearings also have a structure with a seat pad, which allows the bearing to have self-aligning properties and reduces the impact of installation errors.

Thrust ball bearings can withstand axial loads but not radial loads. One-way thrust ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial loads, while two-way thrust ball bearings can withstand bidirectional axial loads. Due to their structural characteristics, thrust ball bearings have a relatively low limit speed and can be made into a full-ball structure, making them suitable for low-speed, heavy-load applications.

Product Features: Available in both one-way and two-way types; customers can choose between a spherical self-aligning ball seat cushion type or a type with a spherical seat ring.

Application areas: port machinery, machine tools, metallurgy, ships, mining, and general-purpose mechanical equipment, etc.
